Sunflower Field Walk

Tranquil Outdoor Experience - Erasing Turbulent Times

Discover some peace from this world's challenging times in our tranquil sunflower field. Wander through our 18 varieties of exquisite sunflowers thriving across four acres. These sunflowers are an array of brilliant colors: reds, yellows, cream, white, and orange.  Choose one of your favorite sunflowers to cut and take with you at the end of your walk, or choose to pick a bouquet of flowers from our field for an additional charge to take home. During the walk you’ll pass by many other types of flowers to enjoy, surrounded by bees, butterflies, and even hummingbirds!

Not Only Sunflowers - An Experience Like None other

Our farm is comprised of woods, rivers, and fields. Some fields, like that of the sunflowers, are used to grow vegetables and fun experiences for our farm guests. When you visit the sunflower festival, be sure to stop by our Farm Stand to browse our produce, pantry, frozen, and flourishing plants, many of which are grown right here on our farm. For your enjoyment, we also have cold water and iced tea available at our snack barn window. Food trucks are available Friday through Sunday of the festival, however we do not have any food trucks on Thursdays.   We also will be hosting other fun experiences within the sunflower field, such as, yoga, painting and knitting classes. Come celebrate Sunflowers at Sunset with us featuring Pizzazz Strings, Saturday August 7th 6pm-8pm.  These classes and experiences will be priced above the regular ticket price, and will be available on our ticketing site.  Reserve your place soon, as all entry is time ticketed.

New Growth Taking Root In Fertile Soil

We at The Farm have been growing and harvesting produce in Woodbury for over 30 years. We are proud to call Woodbury our farm home. In the 1800's, Woodbury, like much of the state, was compromised mostly of farmland. We as farmers have watched many family farms, along with their land, slip away. Our farm is truly a family business, led by three brothers and our parents who mentor us as we move forward in our farming lives. Our crew, comprised of conscientious, hard-working individuals, further our farm's vision with their passion. Your purchase of our Sunflower Festival admission ticket provides a way for our family farm to stay positive and relevant in this changing world. Our sunflower field seeks to provide a deep-rooted, simple, earthly experience that only a family farm can deliver.

August Bloom and The Whimsy of Nature

Planting sunflowers of this magnitude is a labor of love and a test of patience. Some of these varieties take over 110 days to raise from a mere seed to a blossoming flower. The colors, shapes, and sizes are an amazing feat of Mother Nature. We plan to open our festival  on August 5th, 2021; Of course, we are hoping for beautiful weather to permit our opening day. If your wondering about the weather on your planned day to visit our farm please see our live weather camera and reports.

COVID-19 Precautions

As 2020 has passed and 2021 is here, we are all feeling MUCH better about Covid-19 and the restrictions that have been lifted.  We are following all CDC guidelines for our farm at this time.  We recommend those not vaccinated, or those whom are health compromised, to wear masks, especially near others.  Keeping 6’ is still a great idea to practice.  Our time ticketing schedule is designed to keep a capacity tracking flow of visitors at our farm. In the event of any executive orders from Federal, State, or Local authorities we will implement them as given.

Ticketing Disclaimers & Info:

Ticketing is limited and MUST be purchased online to guarantee admission to the event. Due to our capacity, we are strictly limiting ticket sales BY DAY & TIME to ensure every guest gets plenty of pictures in the sunflowers.

Sunflowers are an agricultural crop and therefore subject to weather, growing conditions, and ripening variables. We cannot guarantee that the sunflowers will bloom on a particular date, so prepare to be flexible by 7-10 days in your visit. Stay tuned on Facebook for up-to-the-minute plans. The event is an outdoor event and therefore held as long as the weather permits. If deemed necessary, a voucher will be issued to re-book your visit to the sunflower festival during another time. If you arrive with a dog in the car you will be asked to leave the premises.  We know your dog, cat, or pig is wonderful, and we wish things could be different, but we simply are not permitted to allow pets other than  REAL A.D.A. registered service dogs. What Ever Will I Wear...

Wear something comfortable, based on the weather forecast for the day. Closed toed shoes are recommended.  Remember, you'll be walking in a field with soil below your feet (and possibly a little mud if Mother Nature so inclines). Walking barefoot is not allowed for safety reasons. Sunscreen, water bottles, sun hats, or umbrellas are all welcome. If you have little ones in your group, wagons and strollers are allowed. Wheelchairs and scooters are not recommended for this event due to the rough terrain. Feel free to bring your camera!
